Opening Remarks: It's not that close to Christmas as I write
this(October 2), but I have recently re-watched this disc and I'm
listening to a Christmas Music CD(A Very Special Christmas 2) as
I write this, so it's kinda "Christmasy".

Movie Quality: I love this film. I hadn't seen this film before
it was released on Home Video. My Mom's friend said that this
movie was crap, but I plunked down the $14.95 or whatever it was
for the VHS tape. I was really impressed and this film is now one
of my favorite Xmas flicks. Anyways, last Christmas(1998) this
film was released on DVD and I bought it immediately. If you
didn't know already, the plot goes like this. Arnold
Schwarzenegger plays a father who waits to the last minute to try
to buy his son the "must buy" toy of the year,
"Turbo Man". Well, this doesn't go as planned and he
has to go to all kinds of lengths to try to get his hands on the
TMan action figure. Arnold, Sinbad, and Robert Conrad give nice
performances, but the late Phil Hartman steals the show as the
2-faced neighbor of Arnold's family. This movie is really funny
and is a lot more like my Christmas experiences than any other
Christmas film.

Video Quality: This disc looks great. The film is presented in
it's original Widescreen format. The colors are exceptional and
everything looks really nice. This is one of the best looking
DVDs I own.

Sound Quality: This disc sounds great and really makes you notice
the cool Brian Setzer musical pieces. The other music is loud and
clear and the dialogue is clear, as well.

Extras: This disc is really lacking in this area, just like
basically every other 20th Century Fox DVD release. The only
extras on this disc are the Original Theatrical Trailer and Cast
& Crew Bios. I don't remember off-hand if there are any
filmographies on the disc. Oh yeah, there are also Spanish &
French soundtracks and English & French Subtitles.

Improve: More extras like a commentary track and deleted scenes.
RIYL: Republic's excellent "It's A Wonderful Life" DVD.
There will be a review of it very soon.

Overall Opinion: This disc is well worth the $25 sticker price if
you are a fan of this film, like I am. If you haven't seen this
film, you will probably like it, but there aren't any extras to
help justify the $25 price for the movie alone. The film does
look & sound great, though.
