WWF Attitude Game by Acclaim Sports Reviewed by Fox tyler@rapidnet.com Save: Memory card Released: 1999 Works with: Controller Pak, Rumble Pak **************************************************************************** Opening Snide Remarks: I had owned both WCW wrestling games for the N64, but hadn't played Warzone, so I had no idea what I was getting into. **************************************************************************** Gameplay Descripion: Excellent. With somewhere around 30 wrestlers, a career mode, create-a-wrestler, pay-per-view, and cage, hardcore, first blood, I Quit exibition matches, this game nearly has it all. I can't say I saw anything wrong with it. You have all the standard moves, plus the finishers for all wrestlers. In the create mode, you can give your own character the Stunner or Pedigree as a finisher. Liked: Everything Hated: Not a one. **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: Wow. The graphics on the wrestlers is so lifelike that even I was amazed at the detail put in. Although the crowds could have used a little more detail than they had, the arenas and wrestlers were great. The entrances also looked astounding. Liked: Wrestlers, arenas. Hated: Audience. **************************************************************************** Sound/Music Description: The sound was nice on this game. With the real voices and entrance music for the wrestlers, it made you feel like this was somewhat real. All of the entrances were almost exactly like the real ones. The crowd cheering also added effect. With Shane and The King announcing also added to the overall enjoyment. Liked: Everything. Hated: Nothing I noticed, but I probably missed something. **************************************************************************** Play Control/Game Design: Because I had not played Warzone, the controls were hard for me at first, although I picked up after the first couple hours of playing. The game used combinations to do moves, so you had to memorize the moves to become a winning wrestler. There was no lag, so I liked this for the most part. Liked: Most everything. Hated: Some of the combos were too tricky. **************************************************************************** Improve: With THQ getting the WWF license, Wrestlemania should be Attitude’s graphics with Revenge’s controls. RIYL: WWF Warzone, WCW/nWo Revenge, WCW Mayhem when released. **************************************************************************** Final Words: I enjoyed this game as soon as I got the hang of it. The graphics alone make this worth the money. **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: ***** Graphics: ***** Sound/Music: ***** Play Control/Game Design: **** Personal Opinion: **** Total: 23 out of 25 Final Score: 92% **************************************************************************** Currently Known Codes: You unlock them by beating parts of the game in Career mode.
